The NDIS is being rolled out across Australia between 2016 and 2020. Some areas have already fully transitioned and some have still to be transitioned. Of course, HCA Home is a registered NDIS service supplier, and as part of Healthcare Australia (HCA), we’ve been providing healthcare solutions for more than 45 years.
As the transition continues, you might be pleased to know that if you’re not covered under the NDIS yet, or even if you just want some extra support, we can provide services through a range of different funding options.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is here and aims to empower disabled people with the freedom to decide on the services and support to help achieve their goals. It is estimated that the NDIS will provide ongoing financial support to over 460,000 Australians with significant and permanent disability in the coming years. With an increased need for more support services, the NDIS has opened the door to more choice of providers.
If you have a current NDIS plan, HCA Home can provide a range of core support, transport and capacity building services. We’ll talk with you and help you make the most of your NDIS budget.
NDIS funding is available under 3 primary processes:
HCA Home will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange payment with the NDIA directly.
HCA Home will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange payment with you.
HCA Home will negotiate all terms with you (or your representative) and arrange payment with a nominated third-party provider.
HCA Home is able to offer a limited range of support coordination funded services in certain areas of Australia. Please discuss with your representative if you wish to source support coordination services and HCA Home will engage one of our partner organisation if this is not available in your area.
Many states across Australia continue to fund disability services in areas which have yet to transition to the NDIS. If you are in receipt of a government package (whether it’s an ISP, Your Life Your Choice or any other kind of state package) HCA Home may be able to assist you with services during the transition period. We understand the complexity of funding options available in each area and can discuss your available options with you.
If you find that you have one-off requests (such as travel or holiday assistance), need help during extended periods of respite or if you find that the NDIS or state funded budgets available to you don’t cover all the services required, you can choose to privately fund extra services.
If you’ve experienced total or permanent disability, you may be provided with third party insurance payments.
